Is my donation tax deductible?
Interlochen Center for the Arts is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record. We'll send it to you upon successful completion of your donation.
Do I get a receipt?
Yes, we’ll send a receipt to the email address you provide when donating. The receipt will include your donation details.

Does my gift have to be in cash?
No. Appreciated securities can be a tax-wise alternative to cash or credit card gifts. If you hold stocks or bonds that have appreciated in value (and that you have held for at least a year), you can give them to Interlochen and save taxes twice. Take a charitable deduction for their full market value and save the capital gains tax that you would incur if you sold them. I'd like to make a stock gift. What is Interlochen's EIN?
The Interlochen Center for the Arts EIN is 38-1689022. Interlochen Public Radio is a part of Interlochen Center for the Arts; use the same EIN for directing stock gifts to IPR. Be sure to note in the instructions for the transfer that you want the gift to go to IPR. Ask your financial advisor to include your name in the remittance as well so we know the gift is from you!
How can I give in honor or memory of someone?
A recognition or memorial gift is a wonderful way to honor the legacy of your friend or loved one. If you would like to make such a gift, click on the checkbox below the amount you wish to give that says "Dedicate my donation in honor or in memory of someone." A drop down box will appear where you can note the name of the person you are recognizing and send an e-card and/or postal card if you wish.
How do I get access to the NPR+ Podcast Bundle?
As an IPR sustaining donor giving $8/month or $96/year you qualify for access to NPR+. You will receive an activation email shortly after you set up your gift; please allow up to 1 business day to receive this email. Once you receive it, follow the instructions. To activate your account at a later time, head to interlochen.plus.npr.org and click “log in” on the upper portion of the page using the email address used to set up your recurring gift and set up your account.
How much should I give?
The important thing is that you do give. Every gift is important. Whether your gift is $50, $500, $5,000 or $50,000, the most important consideration is that you choose to make a difference in the lives of the young artists or to keep local public radio strong and vibrant. We would be honored to be one of the top three charitable gifts you make this year. That will mean different amounts to different amounts to different people.
